Rivers State Ministry of Youth Development
BRIEF HISTORY
The Ministry began as a department under the Deputy Governor’s Office in 1980 and was upgraded to a full Ministry in 2008. It is now the principal government institution for youth empowerment, capacity building, and engagement in Rivers State.

To develop Rivers Youths to achieve their full potential and to be socio-economically responsible citizens as Rivers leaders and become productive assets of the state.

To mobilize, inform, educate and train the youths of Rivers State to be responsible citizens to themselves and to the society for the greater good of the country
